March 2011
We had a smaller entry than usual for our March Show with 131 exhibits. Despite this there seemed to be just as many fanciers present making for a great atmosphere in the hall at Woore.
Our grateful thanks to the early arrivals who enabled us to have the pens up by 9am.
It was a pleasant surprise to see Edward and Jean Hough at lunchtime. They were very good supporters of the Stoke and Stone Club for many years but no longer show. Thank you to them for a very generous donation which we will use for specials in our October Cup Show.
Thanks to our judges for judging at such reasonable cost and congratulations to all our winners but especially to the very young Kylie Birch for her first Junior CoM BIS.
Thanks also to those who help run the show and stay behind to clear up. We are very fortunate in the amount of help we get.
If there are any budding judges in the area who would like to judge at one of our Junior CoM Shows please let us know. The job usually goes to the senior judge with the lesser entry but this rather defeats the objective of bringing on new judges. It would be much better if a trainee judge had the chance. You only have to ask.
Our next show will be on Sunday 30th October 2011 at the same venue.
Tony and Prim Cannell Secretaries.
